Next morning before we left for the city we packed bags, our plan was to comeback and pick our bags and board the 4:30PM bus to Delhi. So with all the stuff neatly tucked in we left for the town for a brunch. Good sumptuous paranthas were what we had.. oh I just forgot to pen down how my cell phone went missing the previous night

I lose my mobile phone
The previous night while calling my folks and friends from a STD booth I forgot my mobile phone in one of the kiosk, it was later on while having dinner in one of the restaurants that I realised that I did not have it. I ran back to the shop worried that it might have shut down, I really didn’t want to lose nice phone, it was already 10:30PM. By the time I reached the kiosk, it had already shut down. I somehow managed to get the shopkeepers phone number. I called up the guy and he informed me that he had the phone and I could pick it up the next morning from his shop.

The first thing that I wanted to do was to pick up the phone from his shop. As soon as I reached his shop the guy instantly recognised me and handed me the phone.I was relieved that I had got my phone back. Its really an amazing feeling to retrieve something you had lost, I was estatic.

Tibetian Monestary
We wandered to a tibetian monastary that was hidden in the town, the place was calm and quite there were a few monks here and there. Inside one of the temples there was an idol of lord buddha that was a storey high.

Nature Park
The nature park of manali sapns quite a huge area, it heavily wooded, dark and calm. Its very well maintained and one side of it is bordered with the River Beas. We spent some time in the woods, taking snaps and playing like kids on the swings.

Country Club
We then trekked to Country Club, this is one of the best places of manali, it has a Small resort that is maintained by the Himachal Government, the river banks on this side of the town is very clean, there were large number of tourists around enjoying the rushing water. We envied them, and wanted to spend some time near the banks but we didn’t have the time and we needed to cover one more place before we decided to get back to the hotel.

Manu Temple
Manali is named after the sage Manu, who was the creator of human race on the earth and it is believed that he meditated here. This is supposed to be the only temple of Manu in India. We Trekked all the way to Manu temple, this place lies on one of the hills and the climb to the place was very tirinig, but we wanted to get there as soon as possible and start our journey back. The road to the temple took us through a village where we could see the real beauty of Manali and how villagers lived life. The Temple didn’t have lots of visitors around, because it was far off from the town but the locals were present in good numbers. After visiting the temple we decided to get back to the hotel.

The trek back to the hotel was long and tiring, It would have been really great if we still had our bikes, but then trekking is a different ball game. We reached our hotel and decided to checkout since it was alredy around 4:00PM. We boarded the bus and got ready for another stomach churning trip back down the hills.

The entire trip to manali was amazing, given a chance I would like to go there once again, memories of this place still remain fresh in my mind.
