Orange County Choppers (OCC) is a custom motorcycle manufacturer founded by Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr in 1999. The bikes these guys fabricate are amazing and beyond one’s wildest dreams. OCC debuted to fame when the company aired its first show on Discovery channel, and since then they haven’t looked back.

OCC started as a sideline to the family’s steel manufacturing enterprise,Orange County Iron works, which was founded in the 1970s. In the late 1990s, Teutul Sr. began manufacturing custom motorcycles as an extension of his steel business, and in 1999 he founded Orange County Choppers. The company’s first bike, “True Blue”, was debuted at the 1999 Daytona Biketoberfest.

The main anchors of this company are son and dad team Paul Senior and Junior. Watching the episodes of the show American choppers is intriguing and exciting where the boys start building projects or rather custom made bikes from scratch. Their best project has been the ‘black widow bike’ shown below.

Mikey
There is another hilarious character who can be seen more than often, Mikey or Michael Tetul the youngest of Paul Tetul’s sons’. Mikey is an interesting character and resembles a fully bloated clown with long grown hair wearing a pair of bermudas.

Mikey became a celebrity when he began working for O.C.C. as a secretary and custodian (or as Mikey would gleefully say, “I answer the phone, and take out the trash.”), acting as comic relief for the show. His presence also seems to have a calming effect on his father, who almost never shows the same sort of frustration he feels for Paul Jr. Mikey is often able to antagonize his father with little consequence. One of the best known examples of this came when Mikey and his father were building Mikey’s Blues themed chopper. Mikey originally wanted a seat with his and his father’s faces stitched on, reflecting the “Blues Brothers” theme of the bike. However, when the seat arrived, Mikey had made a mistake in ordering it and only Paul Sr.’s face was stitched on. Mikey and his father then entered into a heated shouting match, which culminates in Mikey stating that everytime he sits down on the seat (of his father’s face), he’ll fart. This causes Senior, who was not two seconds ago shouting in anger, to burst out laughing.

He is now a major and popular part of the show and now appears at promotional events for O.C.C., as well as continuing working for the family business in his new job as a webmaster.

He is also known for his poor driving skills, as he demonstrates in the series on one occasion where he managed to drive his father’s truck into a pond while showing off to his friend Earl, and another where he again fails the practical portion of his motorcycle license exam.

Paul Senior
Paul Senior is a short tempered business man who likes to do his business his way, he usually get in with fights with his elder son but does so because he has very high expectations from him. Paul Senior has a tendency of neatness and likes to have his workshop neat and clean. He is also known on occasion to break the odd door or tear down a few walls in his workshops, if sufficiently motivated by the circumstances, a trait that he shares with Paul Jr., who also frequently doubles as his sparring partner. Vehicles such as his Ford Explorer and a few electric golf carts have also been driven crashing to walls and other objects, for no apparent reason, with or without the active participation of Paul Jr.
